Limited Reception, Unlimited Welcome
With a small and dedicated team and limited reception opening hours, Hotel Tórshavn wanted to ensure guests could enjoy a smooth arrival even outside traditional check-in time. The goal was to provide more flexibility without losing the warm, local welcome the hotel is known for.
The Challenge: Helping Guests Connect Their Stay
When introducing AeroGuest, the hotel saw an opportunity to make arrivals easier for both guests and staff. However, due to fragmented booking data from OTAs, not all guest details were available. This meant some guests could not be contacted with instructions for online check-in, particularly when arriving late after the reception had closed.
To overcome this, Hotel Tórshavn implemented the “Find your booking” feature - a simple yet powerful solution that allows guests to manually connect their reservation in the AeroGuest app. This bridged the gap caused by missing guest data, ensuring that even late arrivals could check in, receive their room key, and settle in on their own terms.
Shared Effort, Smooth Progress
To support the launch of this feature, AeroGuest also designed a branded poster for the front desk, clearly outlining the few simple steps guests need to take to find their booking in the app. Placed at reception, the poster helps guests immediately understand what to do upon arrival, even when the reception is closed.
For the hotel, this means fewer manual lookups and late-night calls. For guests, it means a seamless arrival experience - being able to check in, get their key, and head straight to their room, anytime, day or night.
